I’m feeling spoilt silly with all the mobile devices that I have now!!

Anyways, I have some tips and shortcuts for E71 that I wanna share today. Although they can be found on internet, I took the time to consolidate and organised them for easy reads.

* Quick Buttons *

Press & Hold * key to activate or deactivate the bluetooth.

Press & Hold # key to switch between General and Silent profiles.

Press & Hold 0 (zero) key to goto bookmarks / browser

Quick double press on the bottom left ‘number shift’ key locks it.

Press Left Soft Key then Fn ( or * ) locks the keypad.

Press & Hold End/Red to disconnect all data connections.

Press & Hold Left Soft Key to read out new text messages.

* Messages / Mails *

Pressing Shift + Backspace = delete letters after cursor

Press Shift + Return to mark/unmark a single message

Press Shift + Down to mark multiple items.

Press Fn + Spacebar in new message body to access input (predictive text, etc.) options.

Press Ctrl+C (but you need to hold down Func+Chr+C to get this on the keyboard) to copy.

Press & Hold Shift and move the direction pad to highlight text. Copy will appear as on of the softkey labels.

Press Ctrl+Up and Ctrl+Down for Page Up and Page Down. Or Fn then Ctrl+Up. If you doble tap the function key it becomes sticky (i.e. like cap locks and as describes above) and you can then do multiple page up and page downs easily.

In Notes and Messaging, press Fn + Spacebar to give input option such as turn on/off predictive text, settings, writing language, input method.

Press & Hold down left soft key to read out new text messages

To show a symbol or number, hold down the key to get it.

* Maps *
Press Shift to zoom in.

Press Backspace to zoom out.

Press Space to go to the current position.

* Music Player *

Press 4 for Last Track, press and hold will Rewind.

Press 5 for Play/Pause.

Press 6 for Next Track, press and hold will Fast Forward.

Press 8 for Stop.

* Real Player *
Press 2 for full screen.

Press & Hold Up for fast forward.

Press & Hold Down for rewind.

* Web*
Press 1 for bookmarks.

Press 2 to find something on a page.

Press 3 to return to the previous page.

Press 5 to tab open windows.

Press * to zoom in.

Press # to zoom out.

Press 8 for page overview.

Press 9 to go to a different web page.

Press 0 to got to the homepage.

Press Backspace to close the current window.

* Camera *

T to focus.

* Gallery *
Press Fn + * for full screen.

Press Fn + 7 to zoom in. Press twice for the full screen size.

Press Fn + 4 to scroll left while in the zoomed image.

Press Fn + 5 to zoom in.

Press Fn + 3 to rotate right.

Press Fn + 2 to scroll up while in the zoomed image.

Press Fn + 1 to rotate left.

Press Fn + 0 to zoom out.

Press Fn + 2 for full screen video mode

* Factory Hard Reset *  (Be careful. This reset everything in your phone.)

Dial *#7370#
