Perchance you have a video taken with your Nokia device, and realize that you’ve gone ballistic and taken up to almost 300MB worth of footage. In an area without free Wi-Fi coverage, you’ll be solely dependant on your device’s HSDPA network to upload your video via the Share on Ovi client on your mobile phone.
Of course, if there’s no hurry, there are alternative uploading methods. A list of available email accounts tied to each specific channel is located in the “Upload” section, under the “From Mobile or Email” tab. Note that under Option 2, you’ll be given a list of email addresses, which corresponds to your respective channels within your Share on Ovi account. So all you’ll need to do is compose a new email, address it to the email address that corresponds to the correct channel, attach your images or videos and finally, hit the send button. However, like most other video hosting sites, there’s a limitation to the file size, and that’s up to 100MB. While it’s understandable that not many of us would be uploading a huge video that goes beyond the 100MB file size limit, we’ll give a quick walkthrough of how you can reduce your video file size and upload it in sequence onto Share on Ovi.

On the basis that you’ll be recording movies off your Nokia device with the .MP4 format, it would be advisable to utilize a video trimmer that supports the .MP4 format. With Quicktime, you can retain the original MP4 format and thus allowing other Nokia users to easily load and view the shared movie right off their Nokia devices. However, should you wish to make it friendly on the PC, using Split Movie 2 would be a better choice.
