Finance your gadgets - Managing money propoerly
We all have desires that we would like to fulfill in our lives and for some GADGETS are that influence. We get sucked in to always desire for that new model, one that performs better then the old version. Something new and innovative tickles our senses and make us just want to buy buy buy! At times we turn to credit facilities to help quench that thought and at times we just haggle our parents to get us that latest mobile handset so that we can check out the cool features.
I know I love gadgets and if it’s within my capabilities it’ll be mine. I do still remember when I first asked my dad to buy me a slim laptop, really expensive and the acer set me back a whopping $3K. Now a similar sized model goes for only $1K. But as adults we will be in a greater capacity to buy but how can we control such that we remain financially sound and ensure we have a steady cash flow to sustain out lives?
1) Save
Get that gadget stash way before hand and get it when it launches! So save up, you’ll have a couple of months (either through rumor mills or announcements) to prepare for that big drop, so save up a couple of hundred a month before the launch and you’ll be a happier person at the end of the day.
2) Wait
Wait for the right time, as time progresses, things get cheaper. Of course you’ll not be the latest but at least you can get what you always wanted. There are also the early adopters who take up and let go just as quickly so take a look at the second hand market for some great deals as well.
3) Installments
Credit card installments are easily accessible by many and with much Zero percent schemes going on it’s easy to get what you want easily. Just pay it off over the 6/12/24 months. However be careful not to max out the amount or you have many month of serious pay back to do!
What other strategies do you have to pick up the gadget you so desire?
