The 3.2-megapixel auto-focus camera is used in many of the Nokia models currently. The focusing is pretty fast, although the colours of the image will appear weird during focusing. A firmware update should solve this. My avatar is taken using the Navigator. Quite promising for macro shots, I would say. Overall, the camera will suffice for the occasional candid shots or Kodak moments. Did I mention all it takes is 2 clicks to upload the pictures I just took to my Flickr account? Great for those who signed up for data plans with their telcos.

The inclusion of a 3.2-megapixel camera is a nice feature on the phone (also with secondary front-facing VGA cam for video calling) and the panorama feature is an added bonus. So rest assured that you can capture pictures while you are strolling around the city you are exploring. All in all, it’s a decent step forward from the previous model, the Nokia 6110 Navigator and it has all the features of the others in Nokia’s line-up. I would consider getting or recommending it to those people I know who usually call me for directions!

The built-in 3.2 megapixel camera is nothing to shout about. Despite the built in auto-focus, it lacks the close-up mode and a xenon flash which I find useful when taking pictures of food and little things which are so common among the bloggers for sharing with friends. Nevertheless, overall picture quality is acceptable under bright light and should suffice for those who are not so demanding when it comes to photo-quality.
