The built-in 3.2 megapixel camera is nothing to shout about. Despite the built in auto-focus, it lacks the close-up mode and a xenon flash which I find useful when taking pictures of food and little things which are so common among the bloggers for sharing with friends. Nevertheless, overall picture quality is acceptable under bright light and should suffice for those who are not so demanding when it comes to photo-quality.

The inclusion of a 3.2-megapixel camera is a nice feature on the phone (also with secondary front-facing VGA cam for video calling) and the panorama feature is an added bonus. So rest assured that you can capture pictures while you are strolling around the city you are exploring. All in all, it’s a decent step forward from the previous model, the Nokia 6110 Navigator and it has all the features of the others in Nokia’s line-up. I would consider getting or recommending it to those people I know who usually call me for directions!

The 3.2-megapixel auto-focus camera is used in many of the Nokia models currently. The focusing is pretty fast, although the colours of the image will appear weird during focusing. A firmware update should solve this. My avatar is taken using the Navigator. Quite promising for macro shots, I would say. Overall, the camera will suffice for the occasional candid shots or Kodak moments. Did I mention all it takes is 2 clicks to upload the pictures I just took to my Flickr account? Great for those who signed up for data plans with their telcos.

Photo and video quality from the 3.2-megapixel camera is nothing to shout about, but is adequate for capturing and sharing with family and friends. I did find that there was a long lag when taking photos (From the time the shutter button is pressed to the actual photo being taken). I did like the integrated panorama feature with the guidelines to help in taking good panoramic shots.

The plus point of the phone is the ability to save the captured picture in the SD card with only about 2 seconds of lag, which I find is quite satisfactory. Auto-focus seems to be non-existent. LED flash is weak, but still nice to have. The blinking flash when auto-focusing is a little annoying for those posing for pictures to be taken. Panorama feature and digital zoom are, in my opinion, useless.

Image quality was similar to the many similar generation camera phones currently available. The camera functions worked pretty well and I managed to even do some image editing on the phone. What bowled me over was the panorama function which was so simple to use and when activated, will tell you when to move and stop to let it capture the shot. Upon switching off the panorama function, the software then took over and stitched up the individual pictures seamlessly. The only complaint I have was the zoom buttons, which I found a bit hard to use as they were very small and fiddly.

Photography is easy with the phone. The pictures are also clearly taken with the camera. The digital zoom rather shocked me when I saw pixels when I was about to take the photo. Luckily, the pixels seemed to clear away when the photo was taken. So no harm was done. But the only problem is the seeming lack of ‘light’ in the pictures taken. The background of the photos seems rather dark and the LED flashlight does not help in the photos. The night mode also seems to make the camera laggy, which just turned me off when I was about to take the photo.

I was pleasantly surprised. Although it is only 3.2-megapixels, the photos I took turned out so much nicer than expected. My family enjoyed the bright and colourful pictures, even comparable to my digital camera. Though I have not printed any photos yet, I trust that the pictures will turn out perfectly.

Taking close-up and portrait shots with the 3.2-megapixel camera was sharp. I also liked the integrated panorama feature that made taking picture more fun. However, I find zooming up to its maximum makes the picture slightly grainy when taking distant objects.

These days, there isn’t even a need to accommodate a camera in the bag because the Nokia 6210 Navigator can perform up to perfection with its panorama view, LED flash and auto-focus features. Sharing valuable moments of life experiences will never be a difficult task anymore.

At first, I thought the camera quality was bad, because the image shown on the LCD screen was fuzzy, but to my surprise, it showed a clear and high resolution image when I clicked on the shutter. Even though it was only 3.2-megapixels, I was satisfied with the picture quality, although it lacked a mirror at the back for self-shooting purposes.

Although equipped with a 3.2 megapixel camera, I still personally find the photographs a bit too noisy for my liking. The Nokia 6210 Navigator comes equipped with a two stage camera button – focus, snap. However, the first stage of the press isn’t really as sensitive as those found on cameras or Sony Ericsson phones.

I’m really disappointed with the camera. It hung on me from the very first day I started using it!

Good camera which lets me take down images of my daily life on them, good enough for memories and print.

The camera did not score high for me. It seems to be similar to some other models of handsets that have poor camera features. I am not referring to the quality of the pictures. Quality wise, I am happy with it, would say it’s above most other 3.2-megapixel handsets. It is the usage of the camera that turns me off. The shutter speed, etc, will not work well with any snapshots taken, when this is exactly how a camera in a mobile phone would normally be used: taking candid shots. Using the camera, I have to have steady hands and the lag between snapping and the image being captured/saved is very long.

The 3.2-megapixel primary camera has enough features to satisfy most everyday photographic needs and situations. During several test shots which I did with the 6210 Navigator, the auto-focus function did a great job of capturing sharp pictures without much focusing lag, especially important for spontaneous situations involving sports or human expression. The integrated LED flash was also sufficiently bright to obtain correct exposure for indoor portrait shots. The on-board tools available for on-the-fly photo-editing made a commendable package. I particularly liked the cropping feature, which provided the usual aspect ratios for 4R and 8R photos. Coupled with Bluetooth capability, photos could be printed on the spot at photo machines located in most shopping centres. On the whole, the camera phone has good specifications and features. However, the downside was the noticeable absence of a camera cover which made finger prints and scratches inevitable with time.

Comparing to my current 2-megapixels phone camera, this 3.2-megapixels one really comes in handy when I do not have a camera with me. It’s sufficient to take a good quality photo. Saving image seems to be taking a little long to process.

The 3.2-megapixel camera is great for daylight outdoor shoots. It was also a pleasant surprise to find that it is capable of taking decent macro shots too, but the autofocus becomes less sensitive at such close-up distances.

Pictures taken from the phone camera are very clear and sharp, which is comparable to a digital camera. However, I prefer the light to be able to be turned on as and when the user wants to, and not just when the camera is taking a shot.

Camera with LED flash, panorama mode, second CIF camera and auto-focus. Photos and videos can be edited, however the quality of photos is poor.

Being a frequent spur of the moment picture-taker, I found the 3.2-megapixel camera a joy to behold. The pictures taken were clear and in good quality. The zoom feature was smooth and did not distort the image in the least bit, unlike some other phones. I was glad about the photo-editing capabilities!

Yes, the part that I had most fun with, the camera. Good zoom feature, fast capture and vibrant colours makes it a breeze to snap my favourite moments where ever I go. The integrated panorama feature is a refreshing feature that puts the fun back in photography.

Pictures are of better quality than other mobile phone cameras of the same resolution. The zoom is great, but the picture quality drops when using this function. The button is too small for a guy’s hand and because the phone is small, it also doesn’t give a good grip when taking pictures and ends up with camera shake when I press the button.

It may not be the best picture quality, but it is fair to comment that it’s pretty decent. It would be most useful when you want to take a picture to tell a story which doesn’t require fantastic clarity. It might be very useful for those who need it as an emergency tool, eg. car accident claims. Zooming in and out, including the integrated flash mode, is very useful as well.

The 3.2-megapixel camera is excellent for day time shoots of scenery and portrait with autofocus and LED flash. However, there is no macro function which is gaining popularity with other mobile devices in the market, and there is no lens protection, which leads to fingerprint smudges all over the lens. An added feature for the next generation will be to have a Geotagging function, which will be useful for user.
