    At the core of its appeal is the onboard Wi-fi and QuickOffice. When experienced with the QWERTY keyboard as a whole, it quickly became clear who the E71 is targeting. But even so, there was no stopping me from warming up to its proposition of being a digital office on the go. I may be more interested in the multimedia functions, but with the Nokia E71, I’m pretty convinced that business phones are no longer boring and irrelevant gadgets for my lifestyle.

    Even fairly large Word, Excel and Powerpoint files were handled easily by the QuickOffice suite which also permitted new files to be prepared on the device itself. Applications were also provided for zipping files, reading PDFs and encrypting sensitive information. Serious business users will be pleased by the extensive range of connectivity options: Wi-Fi, HSDPA, IR and Bluetooth.
