In addition to e-mail & personal information management, the Nokia E71 supports the latest OVI services including maps, music & media sharing that you expect. This includes fast & seamless browsing with HSDPA, WiFi & 3G connectivity, A-GPS & Nokia Maps for navigation, a music player with support for up to 8GB expandable memory & a 3.2-megapixel autofocus camera.

The high LCD resolution and shape of the screen are the main reasons that everything looks so cool. The speed of the processor also ensures quick loading time and response between applications. It feels like having a PS3 the size of my palm. The light sensor that tunes the LCD brightness was also helpful. The camera captures excellent photo quality and I can’t stop taking pictures with it.

Great sound, great music; as a music player, the Nokia E71 has really rocked my world. Great ease while browsing the internet with its internet connection. The fast connections that this device was able to tap into simply are a notch above the rest. I was able to watch YouTube on the Nokia E71 with ease; no worries of lagging while viewing my favourite clips, reliving certain moments of sporting events!

I still feel that this is not the Nokia E71’s forte. The picture quality is not very good & its software suite is better geared for work rather than play. There is a built-in music player which comers in handy should your iPod batteries die whilst in mid-commute and the flash-player is handy when watching FLV movies while on public transport. I was also impressed by the quick transfer of large media files between the Nokia E71 & my PC. A similar transfer to my HTC would have taken eons to complete.
