The numeric keypad is designed for one-hand operation. However, I find it a challenge to use the full QWERTY keyboard, as the buttons are too closely spaced. (I ended up using both hands to type a simple message.)

When typing text on the QWERTY keyboard, the screen will change the orientation to a horizontal display. When sending, I have to get use to pressing the correct button.

I realized the buttons on the main screen, such as the call button, have shortcuts that lead to designated features when pressed longer. But for the call-canceling button, it somehow interferes with the ‘message folder’. For instance, if you want to cancel a call, it’s best to press the cancel call icon. Otherwise you will end up on the message icon.

When it comes to messaging, under “Listen”, there will be voice commands that read out the messages. It’s very useful when driving. But there’s a setback: the volume keeps resuming to and hence have to keep pressing louder to listen. On top of that, when opening the message, reader can’t read and listen to the message at the same time but have to return back to the message screen.

When it was time to delete all messages, I could not find the “Delete all” function on the list. I use the shortcut, of pressing the ‘Cancelled icon’ to continuously delete my messages in the inbox and sent folders.

The Wi-Fi function worked well with wireless@SG. Retrieving personal email from Yahoo and Google was quite easy with the wireless @SG network. However, logging into my home server was a more difficult process, as the email setup wizard could not seem to connect to my home broadband network.

Setting up my Hotmail account on E75 was not a hassle at all. The steps were easy to handle without even looking at the manual provided. The email account was easy to maneuver and the downloading time was fast and really saves a lot of time!
