Being an avid fan of photography, the Nokia N78 has definitely satisfied the basic needs that I could ever ask for from a phone. Its 3.2-megapixel Carl Zeiss Optics lens makes it possible for me to take all images that I want when I’m too lazy to whip out my DSLR camera. The picture quality has exceeded my expectations for a mobile phone.

The photo gallery of the Nokia N78 is simply great with its 3D rotating view and having the Navi-Wheel makes browsing tons of photos fast. Holding on the D-pad longer also does the same, but using the Navi-Wheel is much cooler. The photo menu offers extensive settings - including manual white balance, ISO sensitivity, exposure compensation, and sharpness & contrast settings- a must have for any serious camera phone. The photos taken are sharp, nice and accurate except for shadow details which are very noisy. And in dark shots, the flash is not powerful enough to compensate for the lack of lighting.

For a photo lover like me, the 3.2 megapixel camera came in handy when I wanted to capture some pictures for projects. The picture came out sharp and I must say, the flash is pretty strong, but it seldom overexposes the picture. The resolution was pretty fine and the autofocus was quite fast, the picture quality really didn’t disappoint me.
