I had the chance to test the built-in GPS. Although the GPS does take at least 5 minutes to pinpoint my location, it is nonetheless easy to use and rather accurate. This user-friendliness extends to the bundled maps application software which works great, just like a Street Directory. The software also comes with an additional function of using GSM to pinpoint the user’s location. I found this feature much more responsive compared to using the GPS. Locating oneself via GSM is almost instantaneous and shows up quickly on the map.

The GPS is also really attractive and powerful. Maps are updated and directions flawless. My gripe, however, is that it takes a fair bit of time to get a strong GPS satellite signal, Turning instructions could also be more prompt; it should warn me about 200m before junctions to give me ample time to filter accordingly.

The integrated GPS worked right out of the box without a glitch. I took the time to read through the manual and getting a signal lock within minutes was usually the most that I would have to wait.

The GPS and the bundled maps are useful. I have tested on the Singapore map and found it quite accurate reflected my location on the map while traveling. The map is very useful. It takes 3 ~ 5 minutes to get connected to the GPS system in some location. Although the voice guide is slightly too late, it is useful for me as a rough guideline to a new location.

GPS is useful but takes a few minutes to start up. Once started, it is hassle free and can be used to locate places accurately. The wait however, was not very pleasant when I was in a hurry to get to new locations. Improving upon the startup time would be appreciated.
