The GPS really came in handy when I was in Taipei. During my stay in Taipei, I had to travel from one hotel to the next but I didn’t know how to go there. Even after I got onto a taxi, I knew that the driver could only get me to the street but not the exact address where I needed to be. So I took out the N95 to locate my destination as well as to guide the driver along. With the help of the N95, I reached my destination without having to getting lost. It sure felt good to have a GPS in hand.

One of the main features of the N95 is the GPS receiver. The software Asia Maps by NAVFone Pro provides a very intuitive navigation guide though there’s a bit of learning to be done before you can really get started. Once you get the hang of it it can be really addictive. The voice guide is clear and sentences are kept really short for easy listening. There’s even a very neat information provided to warn drivers of speed cameras along the route traveled.

Being a mobile person who’s always out on the road, the built-in GPS function has proven to be of great help to drivers like me who has very poor directional sense. In the past, before I travel from point A to B, I’d have to burrow through the street directory and memorize all the major street names before I can start my journey. Now, with the accurate live data provided via GPS, I have easy access to the required information & I am able to plan my route beforehand. This way, driving is safer & more enjoyable. Although the GPS needed an average of 5 minutes to be established, it was no doubt handy to people like me.
