The Nokia N96 looks good but would have preferred it to be slimmer so that it does not bulge out so much from my pockets. Other than that, I loved the rich multimedia features especially the ability to TV-out. With the 16GB built-in storage, I was able to enjoy hours of video entertainment on its sharp screen. Would have given it a perfect 10 score if it was a touch screen phone which would have made net browsing much more pleasant.

Using the Nokia N96 for the first time for its basic functions was easy. I took some time to get used to the multimedia functions especially without a manual. The 2.8″ screen is not too small but attracts fingerprint marks. It is actually quite good for watching movies and TV shows. The phone is about the right size to hold in my palm and put in my trouser pocket. It’s a nice phone to look at and the buttons are about right for my fingers for sending messages.

Nokia N96 is a MP3 player, DVBH TV, pocket-size Internet browser, GPS navigator, email and blogging device, digital camera, camcorder, and handheld gaming machine, all within one gadget. With one of the best mobile phone display screens, the sleek device is a gem in the pocket if you can get past the bulge. The battery life is short so expect to charge your battery everyday. In addition, text messaging is a chore due to the closely-spaced keypads. Lag is another problem but it is understandably common in mobile phones with many functions.
