The ClearVid CMOS Sensor™ with ‘Exmor’-derived Technology represents a quantum leap in image capture ability. Sony’s proprietary, proven CMOS technology has resulted in lower power consumption and image noise with color reproduction.
A clearer angle
The ClearVid CMOS Sensor™ uses pixels arranged in a diagonal layout, rather than the square layout of other designs. This reduces the pitch, or space, between pixels, and increases both the light-gathering area and the ability to resolve fine details.
